Eid on the Frontlines of Welfare: IG FC Balochistan South Reopens Upgraded Pakistan Sweet Home Orphanage in TurbatIn a heart-warming Eid al-Adha initiative, the Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) visited and officially inaugurated the newly renovated Pakistan Sweet Home Orphanage in Turbat. The facility, which had long been in a state of severe dilapidation, was completely overhauled in record time by FC Balochistan (South) in collaboration with the Parwaaz Foundation.

To mark the occasion, the IG FC spent the auspicious day of Eid with the children, distributing Eid gifts (Eidi) and interacting closely with them. The children expressed immense joy and affection upon having the regional security chief celebrate the festive occasion alongside them.

Comprehensive Overhaul of Infrastructure and Modern Facilities

The building of the Pakistan Sweet Home Orphanage had previously been rendered non-functional due to prolonged neglect and deteriorating infrastructure. Recognizing the urgent need for a safe haven for local orphans, the military’s social welfare wing stepped in to upgrade the premises.

The fast-tracked renovation project delivered an array of essential amenities, converting the facility into a modern residential and learning center. Upgrades include:

Living Quarters: Brand new beds, quality bedding, tables, and ergonomic chairs.

Power and Connectivity: Installation of solar power systems for uninterrupted electricity and modern computer labs for digital literacy.

Entertainment and Play: Procurement of LCD televisions, indoor recreational equipment, and outdoor playground swings.

A Meaningful Eid Gift for the Community

Local administration and community elders have hailed the timely completion of the orphanage as a precious Eid al-Adha gift from the security forces to the people of Kech district. The project underscores the continuous commitment of FC Balochistan (South) to balancing regional counter-terrorism operations with impactful socio-economic development and humanitarian relief.
