Islamabad: Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, marking the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is being observed across Pakistan with religious devotion, respect and enthusiasm.

Special Gun Salutes at Dawn

The blessed day began in the federal and provincial capitals with traditional gun salutes by smartly turned-out contingents of the Pakistan Army.

Gun Salute Details Across the Country

  • Federal Capital: Islamabad began the day with a ceremonial 31-gun salute by a Pakistan Army contingent.
  • Provincial Capitals: Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta witnessed traditional 21-gun salutes.
  • Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan: 21-gun salutes were also conducted in Muzaffarabad and the administrative centers of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Special Prayers and Security Arrangements Nationwide

After Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered in mosques across the country for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, national solidarity, peace and prosperity.

Throughout the day, central Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions, Naat gatherings and Seerat-un-Nabi conferences are being organized in various cities, with strict and comprehensive security arrangements in place to ensure peaceful celebrations.
