DG ISPR Holds Special Session with Summer Internship 2026 Students, Briefs Them on National Security

Rawalpindi (Web Desk) — The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations held a special interactive session with male and female students from across Pakistan participating in the ISPR Summer Internship 2026.

During the session, the DG ISPR discussed important national issues, including national security, efforts to eliminate terrorism, and the responsible use of social media. He also provided detailed and reasoned responses to questions raised by the students.

Under the ISPR Summer Internship 2026 programme, more than 6,000 students are receiving training at 21 different stations across the country.

Guidance on Countering Misinformation and Disinformation

During the session, experts and the DG ISPR briefed the interns on how to identify fake news, disinformation, and misleading propaganda, as well as effective strategies to counter them.

Participants said the discussion helped clear up many misconceptions circulating on social media and provided useful guidance on becoming responsible digital citizens.

Briefing on Azad Kashmir and Security Challenges

The DG ISPR also briefed the students on the current regional situation and addressed major security-related issues.

Key Points of the Briefing

• Azad Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistan’s fact-based position was presented in response to Indian narratives concerning the situation in Azad Kashmir.
• Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan: The briefing covered the objectives of hostile elements and the security forces’ operations and achievements against these groups.

Participants described the session as highly informative and pledged to contribute to the promotion of accurate information, fact-based analysis, and a responsible response to hostile propaganda in the digital space.
