Defence and Martyrs’ Day: Dignified Ceremonies Held at Peshawar Educational Institutions, Students Pay Tribute to Martyrs
Peshawar — On the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day, a series of special and dignified ceremonies organized by the Pakistan Army are being held at various public and private educational institutions in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Students paid rich tribute to the great martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the motherland.
Historic Display of National Spirit at Prominent Schools
The ceremonies were held at Government Aimen Shaheed Higher Secondary School, Mother Care Montessori School, Government Centennial Model School, Smart High School Gulberg Campus, Hayatabad Model School, Government Zia-ul-Islam High School for Boys and Pak Air Foundation School System, among other institutions.
Outstanding Student Performances and Activities
National Songs and Tableaus: Students presented touching tableaus and passionate national songs highlighting the theme of defending the homeland, earning appreciation from the participants.
Speech Competitions: Student speakers highlighted the everlasting sacrifices of the Ghazis and martyrs of September 1965 through their speeches.
Joint Flag Hoisting: Students, along with Pakistan Army officers and soldiers, raised the national flag and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
Distribution of Awards: Pakistan Army officers distributed awards and prizes among talented students who demonstrated outstanding performance in the competitions.

Pakistan Army officers and soldiers participated in the ceremonies held at the schools and appreciated the students’ creativity and spirit of patriotism. Military representatives emphasized that the enthusiasm of the younger generation and their profound respect for the nation’s martyrs are among the strongest guarantees of the country’s defence.
