CTD Official Killed in Firing by Unknown Gunmen in Turbat

A Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) official was killed after unidentified armed men opened fire in Turbat.

According to police, the incident took place in the Dashti Bazaar area of Turbat, where gunmen targeted the CTD personnel. Following the attack, police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched an investigation, while a search operation was also initiated to trace the attackers.

Police officials said the body of the deceased official was shifted to Teaching Hospital Turbat for legal formalities.

It is pertinent to mention that last week, unidentified assailants also shot dead Lady Constable Shakeela in Turbat. She was travelling on a motorcycle with her husband and child for court duty when attackers targeted them near the Apsar Research Farm area. Shakeela died on the spot, while her husband and child sustained injuries in the attack.

Meanwhile, at the end of April, attacks on two police stations in the Kachhi and Noshki districts of Balochistan left one police official martyred and four others injured. According to police, armed men riding motorcycles attacked the Dhadar Police Station using rockets and grenades, prompting retaliatory fire from security personnel.
