Crystal Meth Worth Over Rs111 Million Seized in Kolpur

Kachhi/Quetta: The Customs Enforcement Unit has foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics worth millions of rupees during an effective operation in Kolpur, located in Balochistan’s Kachhi district.

Customs officials recovered 10 kilograms of high-quality crystal methamphetamine from a suspicious truck during a checkpoint inspection.

Drugs Recovered from Secret Compartment Near Fuel Tank

According to security and customs officials, the smugglers had skilfully built concealed compartments inside the vehicle to hide the narcotics.

During the search, 10 packets of crystal meth were recovered from a specially installed cylinder-shaped compartment located beside the fuel tank of a Mazda truck carrying tomatoes.

Key Details of the Operation

Value of the narcotics: The recovered 10 kilograms of crystal meth is estimated to be worth approximately Rs111.2 million in local and international markets.

Legal action initiated: The suspects involved in the smuggling attempt have been taken into custody, a case has been registered against them, and further investigation is underway.

No compromise on national security: Customs officials said that elements threatening the national economy, the future of young people and national security would not be spared under any circumstances.

Operations to Continue Until Drug Trafficking Is Eliminated

Law enforcement agencies have reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-smuggling operations to rid Balochistan of the menace of narcotics.

Strict surveillance is being maintained at entry and exit points across the province to dismantle drug-smuggling networks completely.
