GWADAR: In a significant move to provide economic relief and cultural entertainment to local residents, the RCD Council Gwadar convened a high-level review meeting chaired by its President, Haji Abdul Ghani Baloch. The session evaluated organizational frameworks for upcoming welfare and cultural events tailored for the upcoming Eid festival.
The meeting was attended by key council members, including Vice President Majid Abdullah, General Secretary Bahram Baloch, Niaz Ibrahim, Sammi Baloch, Former President Nasir Rahim, Abdullah Usman, and Abdul Wahab Baloch.
Economic Relief: 42 Stalls Planned for Gwadar Sasta Bazaar
During the proceedings, council members Sammi Baloch and Abdullah Usman presented a comprehensive progress report on the "Gwadar Women Sasta Bazaar" initiative.
Key highlights of the bazaar include:
Duration: The specialized subsidized market will run for three days, from May 22 to May 24, 2026.
Venue: The premises of the RCD Council Gwadar.
Capacity: A total of 42 commercial stalls will be established, offering essential commodities, garments, and Eid utilities at rates significantly lower than open market prices.
Cultural Extravaganza Scheduled for Eid Day 3
In addition to economic relief measures, the RCD Council finalized plans to host a mega cultural festival on the third day of Eid during its traditional Eid Milan Party.
The festive lineup features a curated blend of literature and performing arts, including a satirical poetry symposium (Comic Mushaira), a live humorous musical night, and an exclusive theatrical performance directed by renowned local artist Allah Bakhsh Aleef. The council reiterated its commitment to preserving local heritage while offering wholesome entertainment to the families of Gwadar.
