Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, held a high-level meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director, Ye Xiaoqin Emma Fan. The discussions centered on expanding financial cooperation for mega-projects, including the Kachhi Canal, and boosting investment in the province's mineral and agricultural sectors.
Collaborative Development Strategy
ADB expressed strong interest in providing long-term financial assistance for Balochistan’s socio-economic uplift. Both parties agreed on a shared framework to enhance Education, Healthcare, IT, and Skills Development, aiming to create sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.
Governance and Security for Investors
CM Bugti highlighted that his government has formulated a 10-year comprehensive development plan to tackle poverty and infrastructure gaps. He emphasized that governance reforms are underway to ensure meritocracy. "We are making Balochistan a safe and attractive destination for global investors by providing foolproof security and ease of doing business," the Chief Minister stated.

In a significant move toward human development, the CM informed the delegation that 3,200 non-functional schools have been reopened, alongside the establishment of 2,100 new community-based schools, shifting focus toward modern digital education.
