Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s Efforts Succeed; Written Agreement Reached with Sit-In Committee

Quetta — The reconciliation strategy and prudent leadership of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti have led to the successful conclusion of negotiations between the provincial government and the Ziarat Sit-In Committee. Following the talks, both sides signed a formal written agreement.

This important development has opened a new path toward peace, reconciliation, and mutual trust in the province.

Government Committee and Jirga Reaffirm Supremacy of Constitution and Law

Addressing members of the sit-in committee and the local jirga after the signing ceremony, Balochistan Health Minister and head of the government’s negotiating committee, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, highlighted the major progress achieved through dialogue.

Reconciliation Strategy: He said Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s reconciliatory efforts made it possible to reach a dignified and comprehensive written agreement with the families of the Ziarat martyrs.

Fulfilment of Commitments: The agreement represents a major step toward strengthening public confidence, upholding the rule of law, and fulfilling the commitments made to the martyrs’ families.

Comprehensive Implementation: The government will ensure the full implementation of all legitimate demands of the martyrs’ families in accordance with the prevailing policy, and no affected family will be left unsupported.

Security Reforms and Support for Martyrs’ Families

According to the government statement, practical measures have been initiated to establish sustainable peace and improve law and order across the province.

Most Important Point: The formation of a judicial commission to investigate the Ziarat martyrs incident, continued consultation on law and order, and the enhancement of police capacity are part of the government’s concrete and serious measures.

Provincial Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar said the sacrifices of the martyrs are a national asset and that the respect, financial support, and welfare of their families remain the Balochistan government’s highest priority.

Paying tribute to the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, police, Levies, and other law-enforcement agencies, he said the struggle for peace in Balochistan continues successfully because of their enduring sacrifices.
