The demand for the creation of new administrative provinces in Balochistan is gaining momentum, with residents of the provincial capital, Quetta, also openly voicing their support for the proposal. Citizens have described the creation of new provinces as essential to addressing the province’s longstanding problems and tackling corruption.

Quetta residents say that, given the province’s vast geographical area, establishing smaller provinces has become an urgent need to improve administrative affairs and reduce difficulties faced by the public.

They said the creation of new administrative units would mean that each province would have its own chief minister and inspector general of police, making administrative oversight more effective. They added that stronger government authority could also contribute to improving the law-and-order situation.

The residents further said that establishing new administrative units has become essential for ensuring balanced development and prosperity across the country. With a more active and empowered administrative machinery, ordinary citizens would have easier access to authorities, while public complaints could be addressed more promptly and effectively.
