BISP Survey Postponed Until After Eid; Telenor SIM Distribution to Begin May 14
QUETTA: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Balochistan Region has officially announced the temporary suspension of its dynamic survey across the province, alongside a new rollout plan for Telenor SIM cards to facilitate digital payments.
Resumption of BISP Survey Post-Eid-ul-Adha
According to the official notification, the ongoing survey at all BISP regional offices and designated centers has been paused. The process is scheduled to resume on June 15, 2026, following the Eid-ul-Adha holidays. Applicants are advised to avoid visiting centers until the specified date.
Mandatory SIM Collection for Digital Wallet Accounts
Starting May 14, BISP will commence the distribution of Telenor SIM cards specifically for registered beneficiaries. These SIMs will serve as mobile wallets for future financial assistance.
Key Requirements for Beneficiaries:
Authorized Locations: SIMs can only be collected from the official BISP offices in Kachlak, Quetta, and Sariab.
Security Warning: Beneficiaries must avoid unauthorized centers or individuals to prevent fraud. Only SIMs issued from the three designated offices will be recognized.
Payment Clause: Future installments will be disbursed exclusively through these mobile wallets. Failure to activate these accounts may result in the suspension of financial aid.
