Bilawal Bhutto and Sarfraz Bugti Meet; All-Parties Conference on Balochistan Planned

Islamabad — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti held an important meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Zardari House. During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the PPP chairman in detail on the province’s overall political and administrative situation as well as prevailing security challenges.

The two leaders reviewed and endorsed key decisions aimed at improving peace and stability in Balochistan.

Judicial Commission on the Ziarat Tragedy and Government Measures

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti informed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari about the successful negotiations with the sit-in committee and the assurances provided by the provincial government.

Formation of Judicial Commission: On the demand of the bereaved families, the Balochistan government has established a judicial commission to conduct a transparent investigation into the Ziarat tragedy.

Successful Negotiations: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the efforts of Sarfraz Bugti and the constructive role of opposition parties in addressing the concerns of the affected families and bringing the negotiations to a successful conclusion.

Commitment to Political Dialogue: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the Pakistan Peoples Party has always believed in meaningful dialogue with political parties, stressing that negotiations are the only viable way to resolve Balochistan’s problems.

All-Parties Conference for Peace and Stability

A comprehensive strategy is being developed to promote sustainable peace, political consensus, and broader stability in the province.

Most Important Point: The Chief Minister said a major All-Parties Conference would soon be convened to discuss peace and security in Balochistan. All political parties and forces, both inside and outside Parliament, will be invited to participate.

PPP’s Firm Position Against Terrorism

During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to the enduring sacrifices of the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, and police during the recent wave of terrorism.

He said he had personally suffered because of terrorism and could therefore fully understand the pain of the families of the martyrs.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s position against terrorism has remained clear from the beginning and that the party will stand like an unbreakable wall against this threat in defence of the country.
