Balochistan Launches E-Domicile and E-Local Certificate System for the First Time

E-Domicile System Marks a Major Milestone in Good Governance and Transparent Public Services, Says Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has officially inaugurated the province's first-ever E-Domicile and E-Local Certificate System, introducing a major digital governance reform aimed at improving public service delivery.

Describing the initiative as a revolutionary step toward good governance, transparency, and citizen-centric services, the Chief Minister said the new system will replace lengthy manual procedures, allowing residents to obtain domicile and local certificates through a faster and more efficient process.

Access Available Nationwide Through NADRA and the Pak-ID Platform

According to Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the system has been integrated with Pakistan's national identity database, enabling Balochistan residents living anywhere in the country to benefit from the service.

Key Features of the New E-Domicile System

• Simple application process: Citizens can apply for an E-Domicile through NADRA centers across Pakistan, Deputy Commissioner offices, or the online Pak-ID platform.
• End of fake documents: The digital system is designed to eliminate forged and duplicate domicile certificates, ensuring transparency and merit-based verification.
• Secure online verification: Government institutions will now be able to verify domicile certificates instantly through a reliable online system.

Commitment to Modernizing Public Services

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed the provincial government's commitment to providing fast, accessible, and efficient public services. He added that the digital transformation initiative will be expanded to remote areas of Balochistan to improve governance and make government services more accessible to all citizens.
