Balochistan Health Card Program Provides Free Treatment to Millions of Citizens

Quetta (Balochistan News ) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that through the Balochistan Health Card Program, free and quality healthcare services are being ensured for the public.

He stated that for the convenience of citizens across the province, every individual’s identity card is being considered their health card, while not only hospitals in Balochistan but also major private hospitals across the country have been included in the network.

According to the Chief Minister, so far 345,000 patients have received treatment facilities under the Balochistan Health Card Program.

Statistics show that under the program, 69,000 dialysis sessions, more than 44,000 chemotherapy sessions, and over 1,200 radiotherapy sessions have been completed.

Similarly, 7,784 angioplasty procedures and 575 bypass surgeries for heart patients have been successfully conducted, while 304 pediatric heart cases have also been treated free of cost.

It was further reported that 3,412 neurosurgeries, 12,300 orthopedic surgeries, and 183 burn and plastic surgery cases have also been completed under the program.

Officials said that the program is proving to be a major facility for citizens in the health sector and its scope is being further expanded.
