Balochistan Govt Announces 400 Fully-Funded Higher Education Scholarships for Female Students

QUETTA — In a major boost for women's empowerment and higher education in the region, the Government of Balochistan, in collaboration with the World Bank, has officially announced 400 fully-funded scholarships specifically for female students across the province.

The mega education initiative is designed for intermediate-passed female candidates seeking admission into four-year BS Education and B.Ed degree programs. The strategic partnership aims to address educational disparities and equip young women from Balochistan with professional teaching degrees.

Eligibility Criteria and Top-Tier University Placements

The scholarship program is open to applicants from all districts of Balochistan, ensuring equitable regional representation. Eligible female candidates must be up to 22 years of age.

To ensure international standards of learning, the selected students will be placed in premium, top-tier universities located in Pakistan’s major educational hubs, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

State-Sponsored Academic Coverage

Under this fully-funded framework, the government and its partner global institution will completely cover all tuition fees, institutional dues, and academic expenses. Officials have termed this project a transformative milestone for the provincial education sector, paving the way for sustainable youth empowerment and a brighter socioeconomic future for the daughters of Balochistan.
