Balochistan Government Launches Initiatives to Empower Youth
The Balochistan government has launched youth empowerment initiatives, sending over 200 trained young people abroad for employment under the CM Youth Skill Development Program.
QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has accelerated efforts to empower young people through skill development and overseas employment initiatives aimed at creating sustainable economic opportunities across the province.
A key component of these efforts is the Chief Minister Youth Skill Development and Overseas Employment Program, which has been launched to equip youth with technical skills and connect them with international job markets.
According to officials, more than 200 skilled young men and women from different districts of Balochistan have already been sent to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other countries after completing professional and technical training in various fields.
The initiative is designed to help youth secure dignified employment opportunities while contributing to economic growth and workforce development.
Under the first phase of the program, 2,500 young people will receive technical and vocational training in market-driven skills before being facilitated for overseas employment opportunities.
Provincial authorities say the program aims to reduce unemployment, enhance workforce capacity, and enable Balochistan’s youth to play a more active role in national and international economic development.
The government has described youth empowerment as a key pillar of its development agenda, emphasizing investment in education, skills training, and employment generation.
