Balochistan Education Minister Vows Equal Educational Opportunities for Students

*QUETTA:* Balochistan Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani on Wednesday said the provincial government was committed to providing equal educational opportunities to students across the province and improving the overall quality of education.

She expressed these views during a meeting with Central Nazim-e-Aala Jamat-ul-Saleheen Pakistan Sahibzada Pir Sikandar Sultan, who called on her at her office in Quetta.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various issues related to the education system in Balochistan, including challenges faced by students in government schools, improvement of educational facilities, and measures to enhance the quality of education.

The participants emphasized the need to ensure educational facilities in remote areas of the province so every child could have access to quality education.

The discussion also focused on issues such as the shortage of teachers, lack of basic facilities in schools, provision of clean drinking water, furniture, electricity, and the creation of a better learning environment for students.

Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani said the Balochistan government was taking practical steps to improve the province’s education sector.

She said several projects were underway to upgrade facilities in government schools, improve teacher attendance, and raise educational standards.

Sahibzada Pir Sikandar Sultan said education was the foundation of national development and stressed the importance of providing modern and quality education to the children of Balochistan.

He said all segments of society should jointly contribute to promoting education and securing a brighter future for the younger generation.

He also appreciated the provincial government and the education minister for taking steps to improve key sectors, including health and education, to provide better facilities to the people of Balochistan.

The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue joint efforts for educational development and mutual cooperation in the province.
