Balochistan: Drug Manufacturing Factory Raided in Pishin, 33,000 Kilograms of Narcotics Destroyed
Pishin / Quetta: Security forces have destroyed a drug manufacturing facility during a major operation in Yaro, Pishin district, as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate drug trafficking networks and curb the production of narcotics in Balochistan.
A large quantity of narcotics and raw materials was recovered during the operation and destroyed on-site, while the production facility was demolished using heavy machinery.
Narcotics Worth More Than Rs. 260 Million Recovered
According to security sources, the intelligence-based operation led to the recovery of approximately 33,600 kilograms of narcotics and raw materials from the illegal facility. The total value of the destroyed consignment was estimated at Rs. 268.8 million in local and international markets.
Key Details of the Operation:
Complete Destruction of the Factory: The illegal compound and drug-processing units were demolished using bulldozers and heavy machinery.
Ice and Chemicals Recovered: A large quantity of crystal meth (ice), other chemical substances and modern equipment used in drug production were seized from the facility.
On-Site Destruction: After completion of the required legal procedures, the seized narcotics were burned and destroyed at the site.
Commitment to a Province-Wide Crackdown
Security authorities have made it clear that Balochistan will not be allowed to become a hub for illegal trade and drug trafficking.
To protect the younger generation from narcotics and dismantle interprovincial and international smuggling routes, intelligence-based targeted operations are being expanded across the province.
