Balochistan Chief Minister Decides to Implement Gulistan’s Educational Model Across the Province

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has emphasized that public participation is essential for education and social development, stating that sustainable progress can only be achieved through the active involvement of local communities.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a high-level delegation led by prominent tribal and social leader Sardar Ahmed Khan Ghaibzai from Gulistan, a town in Qila Abdullah District.

Praise for Educational and Welfare Initiatives in Gulistan

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Chief Minister on grassroots educational and welfare projects currently underway in Gulistan. According to the delegation, with community support and non-governmental efforts:

• Educational opportunities for underprivileged students are being expanded.
• Local social and welfare networks are being strengthened.
• A public funding system has been developed to support government schools.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed satisfaction with these community-driven efforts and assured full government support for such welfare initiatives.

"Community and private-sector efforts in education and social development are not only commendable but also form the foundation of sustainable progress when combined with government institutions."

Commitment to Expand the “Gulistan Educational Model”

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the provincial government would support and promote the successful Gulistan educational model. He directed the relevant authorities to replicate the model in other districts of Balochistan so that all citizens can have equal access to education.

Government Priorities

Reaffirming his government's priorities, Mir Sarfraz Bugti said improving the condition of educational institutions remains a top objective. Work is being carried out on an emergency basis in the following areas:

• Provision of basic facilities: Clean drinking water, electricity, and washrooms in schools.
• Improvement in educational standards: Ensuring teacher attendance and introducing modern teaching methods.

He added that greater public participation in social services would make the development process more transparent and help build a self-reliant and progressive society.
