Balochistan Budget 2026-27 to Prioritize Youth Empowerment, Education and Employment
QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has announced that the upcoming Balochistan Budget 2026-27 will place special emphasis on youth empowerment through education, skills development, and employment generation initiatives.
Speaking during a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentarians at Governor House Quetta, the governor said the provincial government considers young people the driving force behind Balochistan’s future development and prosperity.
He emphasized that addressing poverty and unemployment requires practical and sustainable measures. In this regard, the government has designed new initiatives aimed at creating thousands of employment opportunities and providing modern career pathways for young people across the province.
Governor Mandokhail revealed that Bolan Medical University has introduced more than ten new medical courses and diploma programs, enabling graduates to secure employment opportunities immediately after completing their studies.
He added that similar reforms and investments are being made in public sector universities to strengthen higher education through professional training, digital skills programs, online IT courses, and specialized diploma certifications.
The governor said that combining academic excellence with practical skills would prepare students for the demands of a rapidly evolving job market and help them compete successfully in various sectors of the economy.
He urged the youth of Balochistan to utilize their talents, strengthen their commitment to national development, and actively contribute to the province's progress.
Mandokhail expressed confidence that with quality education, technical training, and institutional support, the youth of Balochistan would emerge as future leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and professionals capable of driving economic growth and social development.
The meeting was attended by PML-N Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa, Provincial General Secretary Jamal Shah Kakar, MNA Akhtar Bibi, provincial ministers Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Muhammad Khan Lehri, Mir Asim Kurd Gillo, Zarak Khan Mandokhail, Haji Barkat Rind, Hadia Nawaz, Naseem-ur-Rehman Malakhail, and other senior party leaders.
