Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has issued a detailed three-day weather advisory for Balochistan, warning that different parts of the province are likely to experience heavy rainfall, hailstorms, strong winds, dust storms, and intense heatwave conditions simultaneously.
According to the forecast, upper and central districts of Balochistan are expected to receive rain accompanied by thunder and gusty winds over the next three days. Heavy rainfall is likely in Zhob, Sherani, Musa Khel, Kohlu, Barkhan, Ziarat, Harnai, Duki, Loralai, Qila Saifullah, Dera Bugti, Rakhni, Kalat, Surab, and Khuzdar.
Meteorologists have also predicted severe hailstorms in areas located along the foothills of the Sulaiman Mountain Range.
Meanwhile, Quetta, Sibi, Nasirabad, Jhal Magsi, Sohbatpur, Jaffarabad, Usta Muhammad, Awaran, Panjgur, Kech, Lasbela, and Hub are expected to receive light rain or drizzle accompanied by strong winds.
In other parts of the province, weather conditions are expected to remain mostly dry. However, Chagai, Nok Kundi, Dalbandin, Washuk, Kharan, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Nushki, Ziarat, Harnai, Kalat, and Surab may experience severe dust storms and strong winds, potentially reducing visibility.
According to recent weather data, Barkhan recorded the highest rainfall at 17 millimeters, while rain was also reported in Quetta, Musa Khel, Ziarat, and the upper areas of Dera Bugti. Temperature levels remained extremely high in southern and western districts, with Nok Kundi recording a scorching 46 degrees Celsius.
