Attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on Checkpoint Foiled in Tank, All Militants Killed

Tank — Security forces and police successfully foiled an attempted attack by militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij on a checkpoint in Tank district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All attackers were killed during the timely and effective response.

According to defence sources, the militants attempted to target a joint checkpoint operated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Pakistan Army in the Manjhi Khel area of Tank district.

Alert personnel deployed at the checkpoint immediately returned fire, killing all the attackers at the scene.

Citizens Express Anger Over Militants’ Bodies in Local Market

When the bodies of the militants killed in the attack were brought to a local market in Tank, residents reportedly expressed strong anger, resentment, and condemnation.
