Arshad Nadeem’s Participation in Doha Diamond League Uncertain

Lahore (Sports Desk): Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem’s participation in the Doha Diamond League remains uncertain, and he is expected to make a final decision within the next eight to ten days.

Arshad Nadeem said that his focus this season is on major competitions, including the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Athletics Championships.

After performing Hajj, he has resumed training at Punjab Stadium in Lahore under the supervision of coach Salman Iqbal Butt.

While speaking during training, Arshad Nadeem clarified that he has not yet made a final decision regarding participation in the Doha Diamond League scheduled for June 19, and he will assess the situation after reviewing his preparation in the coming days.

He added that he will decide about future competitions based on his physical condition and level of readiness.

Arshad Nadeem also said that a recent throw of over 92 meters by a Sri Lankan javelin thrower has motivated him to work harder, as competition at the global level has become more intense.

He further stated that he feels fortunate to have performed Hajj, and after this spiritual journey he feels mentally relaxed and at peace, while he has now resumed full training.
