Uch Power Plant Main Transmission Towers Blown Up; Electricity Supply Disrupted
In Nasirabad, Balochistan, central electricity transmission towers were targeted in a bomb attack, resulting in widespread power outages across several areas.
According to reports, unidentified individuals planted explosive material on two main transmission towers linked to the Uch Power Plant during the night. The blasts caused both towers to collapse. A fire also broke out inside the power plant, and one person present at the facility reportedly lost consciousness due to the incident.
Following the destruction of the transmission towers and damage to the power infrastructure, electricity supply to multiple districts of Balochistan has been suspended.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. However, similar incidents in the past have been claimed by Baloch militant organizations.
