Police, Frontier Corps, and Anti-Riot Force on High Alert Across the Province
Quetta: The Government of Balochistan and the provincial police have finalized comprehensive security arrangements across the province to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of Muharram-ul-Haram processions and religious gatherings.
According to the Balochistan Police spokesperson, more than 32,000 security personnel have been deployed throughout all districts of the province, particularly in the provincial capital, Quetta, to secure Muharram processions. The extensive security plan aims to prevent any potential security threats and maintain public order.
The deployed security network includes personnel from the District Police, Balochistan Constabulary, Frontier Corps (FC), and the Anti-Riot Force. Strict surveillance has also been implemented at entry and exit points across the city.
"The safety of Muharram processions and the protection of citizens remain our foremost responsibility," police officials told the media. "All law enforcement agencies are working in close coordination, and any suspicious activity will be addressed immediately."
CCTV Monitoring Introduced on Sensitive Routes and Areas
The administration has established monitoring cells to oversee highly sensitive areas of Quetta and the routes of Muharram processions. Modern surveillance cameras are being used to monitor the security situation around the clock.
