Security Forces Kill 29 Militants Along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar stated in a post on the social media platform X that Pakistan's security forces killed 29 militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar during a major intelligence-based operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

According to the statement, the operation was conducted following recent attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and on a Pakistan Rangers camp in Karachi.

Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq Targets Militant Bases

Under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, security forces carried out precision strikes against militant hideouts in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.

According to the statement, targeted air operations conducted overnight destroyed three major militant bases and training camps in Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar, resulting in the deaths of 25 militants.

In a separate ground operation in Bajaur, authorities said that Jamaat-ul-Ahrar commander Khan Forosh alias Zabal, described as a high-value target, was killed along with three associates, while several other militants were injured.

Key Outcome: According to the statement, large quantities of weapons, explosives, and logistical infrastructure found at the destroyed facilities were also eliminated.

Commitment to National Security

Minister Ataullah Tarar said that protecting Pakistan's national security and its citizens remains the state's highest priority, adding that efforts for peace should not be interpreted as weakness.

Continuation of Counterterrorism Operations: He stated that nationwide counterterrorism missions will continue under the vision of the Federal Apex Committee.

Resolve for Stability: According to the minister, security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations against militant networks until terrorism is eliminated.
