Strikes on Militant Hideouts in Afghanistan Reportedly Confirmed Internationally
Islamabad (Monitoring Desk): Reports by international analysts and media outlets have once again brought attention to allegations of cross-border terrorism originating from Afghan territory under the alleged patronage of the Afghan Taliban. According to these reports, Pakistan carried out operations against militant hideouts inside Afghanistan, resulting in reported casualties.
According to an exclusive report by The Policy Digest, Sarah Adams, a former targeting officer with the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), disclosed that Pakistani forces struck three key Fitna al-Khawarij centres in Paktika and Kunar, reportedly killing 19 militants and injuring more than 11 others. She said highly precise, targeted airstrikes were conducted on September 21 against militant strongholds in eastern Afghanistan.
The report stated that the strikes completely destroyed a major training centre for suicide bombers, a logistical support base and a joint compound allegedly used by Fitna al-Khawarij and ISIS.
Defence and diplomatic analysts said that independent international assessments and expert reports confirming the presence of alleged safe havens in Afghanistan, as well as operations against them, would reinforce Pakistan’s longstanding position on cross-border terrorism.
