SIFC Facilitates Over Rs. 76 Billion in Investment in Special Economic Zones
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), through its continued efforts and effective follow-up, is helping accelerate business activities in the country’s special economic zones.
With the council’s facilitation, progress on long-pending applications in Punjab’s special economic zones has accelerated. During September, 34 industrial applications received formal approval, paving the way for more than Rs. 76 billion in new investment in the region.
According to officials, this investment is expected to create more than 7,000 new employment opportunities across various industrial sectors, including textiles, chemicals and agricultural processing.
The acceleration of industrial activity in special economic zones is expected to enhance domestic production capacity and provide greater stability to overall economic activity.
