Pakistan’s Textile Industry Strengthens Position in Global Markets

Islamabad: Pakistan’s textile industry, widely regarded as a backbone of the national economy and export sector, has further strengthened its position in international markets. The continued positive trend in textile and apparel exports reflects the capabilities of Pakistan’s industrial and trade sectors.

According to available data, Pakistan’s textile exports increased by $40 million during fiscal year 2026, reaching $17.93 billion. This positive momentum continued into the new fiscal year, with textile and apparel exports recording a significant 5.55% increase during the first two months of fiscal year 2027, taking the total export volume to $3.38 billion.

According to experts, the sustained growth in exports and increasing industrial activity are not only contributing to the expansion of Pakistan’s overall trade volume but are also creating new opportunities for foreign investment and further export growth in the country’s textile sector.
