ISPR Internship: Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Delivers Key Address to Students

Rawalpindi — Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar addressed a special session under the ISPR Summer Internship Programme 2026, attended by more than 6,150 students from 21 different stations across Pakistan. The detailed session focused on the history of Balochistan, separatist narratives, terrorism, human rights, national security and the vital role of young people in nation-building.

Constitutional and Peaceful Solutions to Balochistan’s Challenges

Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar briefed students on the challenges facing Balochistan and emphasized that separatism and violence cannot provide a solution. He stressed that the effective and timely use of constitutional, political, administrative and developmental measures is the appropriate way to address these challenges.

“Violence is the fundamental means of the political strategy adopted by separatist and terrorist organizations in Balochistan,” Senator Kakar said.

Strong Resolve Against Terrorism

During his address, Senator Kakar reiterated the resolve to confront anti-state elements, including terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan, and to dismantle their networks. Referring to recent tragic incidents, he highlighted attacks on innocent passengers of the Jaffar Express, civilians in Musa Khel and workers in Turbat as serious violations of the fundamental right to life.

Youth as a Force of Knowledge and Reason

Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar described Pakistan’s youth as a key force in countering narratives directed against the state. He urged students to strengthen themselves intellectually, academically and critically so they can respond to misinformation and extremist narratives with knowledge and reason.

Winning the Intellectual Battle Against Terrorism

He emphasized that the long struggle against terrorism requires more than conventional security measures. According to Senator Kakar, Pakistan must also utilize the power of language, reasoning, knowledge, modern communication and the intellectual capabilities of its youth to effectively counter extremist and anti-state narratives.
