Quetta: A landmark development has taken place in Balochistan for the empowerment of women and protection of their basic rights, with the Frontier Corps (FC), in collaboration with the district administration, organizing the province’s first-ever special open courts for women.

More than 600 women participated in the sessions held in Sohbatpur, Sibi and Harnai districts. During the open courts, women openly presented their concerns and challenges to the relevant authorities, including issues related to basic rights, education, healthcare, employment and various difficulties faced in their daily lives.

Representatives of the relevant departments present at the sessions assured the participants that practical steps would be taken to address all legitimate demands and concerns of women on an immediate and priority basis.

Public and social circles welcomed the initiative, describing it as an important milestone toward securing a dignified future and greater empowerment for women in Balochistan
