Waheed Bakhsh, a resident of Zari Kor in Pasni, Balochistan, has announced that he has completely dissociated himself from his minor son and daughter, whom he alleges were used by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee.

In a statement, Waheed Bakhsh alleged that the banned organization lured and persuaded his 17-year-old son Sarfaraz and his 12-year-old school-going daughter to accompany them. Criticizing militant commanders, he questioned Bashir Zaib and Allah Nazar, asking what justification there could be for allegedly misleading innocent and underage children and what fault the children had committed.

He made it clear that his family is patriotic, stands with Pakistan, and will continue to live and die for the country.

According to analysts, the continued distancing of families allegedly affected by rights-based organizations is being viewed by them as an indication of public rejection of extremism.
