Armed Resistance Intensifies in Afghanistan, Fierce Clashes Reported in Nuristan and Kunar
Armed resistance against the Taliban regime in Afghanistan continues to intensify, placing the authorities under growing pressure and creating security challenges on multiple fronts. The security situation has become increasingly tense following fierce clashes between the Afghan Taliban and the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) in Nuristan and Kunar provinces.
According to a statement issued by the Afghanistan Freedom Front, five Taliban personnel were killed and 10 others injured in recent armed operations in Nuristan and Kunar. The group also claimed that its fighters captured several key Taliban security posts in both provinces during the clashes.
Meanwhile, the Afghanistan National Resistance Front (NRF) announced its full support for the AFF and other armed resistance groups, reaffirming its commitment to a joint struggle.
Defence experts said the Taliban regime continues to support militant elements in an effort to maintain its control over the country, which they argue has contributed to a significant increase in internal resistance and retaliatory violence.
