Afghanistan: Explosive Device Allegedly Prepared in Presence of Children
Logar: The Afghan Taliban administration is facing allegations after images and videos reportedly showing the preparation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside a residential area in Afghanistan’s Logar province surfaced.
In the footage, a Taliban militant can allegedly be seen assembling a highly dangerous IED inside a house, with young children reportedly present. According to sources, the open production, sale and purchase of improvised explosive devices are also continuing in various parts of Afghanistan under Taliban control.
Defence and security experts claim that whenever Pakistan carries out retaliatory operations against alleged terrorist safe havens, the Afghan Taliban launch propaganda campaigns by portraying innocent children and civilians as human shields.
According to these experts, the Taliban administration is allegedly providing open support and facilitation to militant elements in an effort to maintain its control over the region.
